Similarities Between Joseph Paul Franklin and the Zodiac speech and terms used
I wanted to go over a few terms used by both the Zodiac Killer and Joseph Paul Franklin.
As you can see in the above reference I posted on Reddit on August of 2024 you can see some similarities between the Zodiac Killer and Joseph Paul Franklin.
First, you can see that he (Franklin ) used the term because killing people was so much fun. This comes from a youtube channel called “As the key turns” on youtube. This correctional officer was a prison guard and he was a guard at one of the prisons that housed Franklin and after I watched the video on him about Joseph Paul Franklin I wanted to get confirmation that indeed Franklin did utter these words. This is important because the Zodiac Killer specifically stated in what is known as the Z408 that he liked killing people because it was so much fun. More fun than killing wild game, another term that comes from an MSNBC interview Franklin gave to MSNBC before he was executed in 2013.
So, it doesn’t stop there, he gave a few more lines and terms that traditonally were used by the Zodiac Killer such as the term “pick off”. The Zodiac did mention that he would shoot the tires of a school bus and “pick off” the kiddies as they come bouncing out.
Franklin did use the term to pick off, but in reference to killing some of his victims using a sniper rifle.
They both used the term “phonies”, which not too an uncommon thing to say however I put it down as it is still a word specific to both.
The above is mentioned because I believe both the Zodiac Killer and Joseph Paul Franklin to be the same individual.
