Pivot Patters in the Z340 JV
For those that are new to the case I suggest you watch an interesting episode 9 “Odds and Ends” on the strange patterns in the Z340.

My take on these are they are not backward “L’s” but they are “j’s” even further they indicate along with other things that the J and V are significant to the Zodiac Killer.
Notice that in the original pattern they are made up of 7 letters each. At the end of each pattern we see a plaintext “V” making each pattern 8 characters. As I have mentioned many times before the number 8 is significant to the Zodiac Killer so the pattern will look more like this:

Further adding to the idea that the JV meant something is that there is some “cycling” encipherment to some of the characters and those plaintext characters are JM and JVM

Coincidence?
Below is in Regards to Joseph Paul Franklin
Of course, I can’t help but see the initials of Franklins birth name, James Vaughn Jr there in the cycling, not totally 100 percent on point but extremely close. JM = JAMES?? JVM = JAMES VAUGHN
The 8 characters is very intriguing to me since 8 and 18 show up a lot. So, now we have 88 in the middle of the Z340. Keep in mind that the only crime that the Zodiac killer says by name is Lake Herman. As a side note I am also seeing the number 3 ver prominent in the case as well.
Note: Ask anyone with OCD/Arithmomania they will see the same and tell you he had pretty bad OCD.
The first pivot pattern occurs at character 81, 8 across and 8 down.
Lake Herman = 88 ( Zodiac doesn’t call it Lake Herman Road, he calls it Lake Herman)
Z408 = 3 section
Z340 = 3 sections with 18 character spacing
ZODIAC = 33
ZDC = 3
OIA = 3
(Someone on Reddit who claims they guarded Franklin in a Tennessee prison)
There was a suspect in one document from a police report I read from Dion Walkers Zodiac Basement named “JIMMY”. I am not sure if any follow up was ever done though or if they ever found him. His story was he was a postman, said he killed people in Vietnam, a young guy. I am thinking that was Franklin in his younger years.

As a side note, when I read this the going into a rage at the sound of a song does sound like Franklin, who was described at often going into a rage at the mere mention of other races or perhaps he felt the song that came over the jukebox was owned or controlled by certain races he did not approve of. I think this does fit in with being a very unhinged and would fit with being able to kill out of sudden anger perhaps like the Stine murder.
For more info I did a video on these patterns and this video appears on Black Box Online Radio with Ned Dehan on youtube:
